We are looking to enhance and develop our psychological offer in Bracknell CMHT, in line with the mental health transformation agenda. Working within an established multidisciplinary team, you will be developing and providing the latest evidence -based specialist psychological care, for which you will receive senior level clinical supervision and training. Main duties of the job

• You will be working as an Applied Psychologist (Counselling or Clinical Psychologist) or a CBT Therapist (band 7) within a multidisciplinary Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) to both develop and provide a comprehensive psychological care package for adults with complex mental health needs, including psychosis and personality disorders presenting to the service.

• You will be responsible for delivering a range of cutting edge and evidence based individual and group interventions for which specialist supervision, training and support will be available.

• You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of digital therapy offers

• You will also be working closely with an established and experienced multidisciplinary team to enhance the psychological care of all adults accessing the service and you will offer consultations, team formulation work and training as required.

The must haves for you to be considered for this role:

A post-graduate doctoral qualification in counselling psychology or clinical psychology (or equivalent) and Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC) or Accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) as a CBT Therapist. If you are awaiting accreditation and likely to have this within 3 months of obtaining the post, then please do still apply and indicate this on your application form

Experience of delivering evidence-based psychological therapies to clients with severe and complex mental health difficulties, individually and ideally, within groups as well.

Interest in working with a team of professionals and contributing psychological knowledge, skills and training to non-therapy staff

Education/ Qualifications /Training

Essential

• Post graduate doctoral qualification in Counselling or Clinical Psychology
• Registered with or eligible for registration within 3 months of obtaining the position with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist
• Eligible for graduate membership of and Chartered status with British Psychology Society (BPS) and for membership of the Division of Counselling Psychology or Clinical Psychology OR Qualification in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy to post graduate diploma level
• Professional qualification in health or social care e.g. RMN, Social Worker or equivalent
• Practitioner accreditation or eligible for accreditation within 3 months of obtaining the position as a CBT therapist with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)

Continuous Professional Development

Essential

• Specific psychological training in working with clients with severe and enduring mental health difficulties

Desirable

• Awareness/knowledge/ training in CBT for Psychosis

Previous Experience

Essential

• Demonstrable experience of working in mental health services
• Demonstrable experience and interest of working in multidisciplinary teams / multi-agency environment as well as experience of teaching / training of health care professionals
• Experiencing of managing highly complex situations concerning safeguarding and risk management
• Experience with routine outcome monitoring, audit and clinically related research.

Desirable

• Experience of working in evidence based ways with clients who have a personality disorder and ideally a working knowledge and experience of the STEPPS and/or DBT programmes.
