Here at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, we are looking to recruit Operating Department Practitioners and Registered Nurses with Anaesthetic skills/qualifications to work within some of our clinical teams. Please note if you do not have anaesthetic skills/qualifications you will not be shortlisted.

Main duties of the job
Each Team offers a variety of opportunities. We are working towards a flexible workforce which allows practitioners to work in a minimum of two roles if not three across the different phases of the perioperative pathway. We are also looking to increase opportunities for working across specialities to offer practitioners variety and opportunities to increase their skills set.
Leeds offers a wide variety of development opportunities and has Nurses and AHPs in many different roles.

Here at Leeds our services are continuously expanding with the build of new theatres on two sites and the introduction of new services and procedures we are always looking to grow and develop our teams.

Cardiac (24/7 Service)
Wharfedale (Monday - Saturday - 8-8)
Paediatrics (24/7 Service)
Neuro (24/7 Service)
Trauma (24/7 Service)
Plastics (Monday- Friday, with on call commitment)
Chapel Allerton (Monday Friday Service

JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY
To provide and be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for the Peri-operative patient. To carry out all relevant forms of care competently without direct supervision.
Communicate with members of the multi-disciplinary team to facilitate continuity of care and promote effective team working.
To assist with the teaching and supervision of learners and other staff.
The jobholder will work within an environment caring for peri-operative patients.
