The Department of Psychiatry is part of Eastbourne's District General Hospital and has three inpatient wards for adults with mental health problems. Heathfield ward; an integrated ward people for older people or those with additional physical and wellbeing needs, Amberley Ward; a ward for women with some shared bays and some individual rooms, and Bodiam Ward; an 18 bed ward for men, comprised of shared bays and some individual rooms.

We currently have positions for Band 5 nurses across our hospital, so if you're not 100% sure which ward you would prefer to work on, that's fine, all you have to do is apply once and we'll match you to the team that best fits you, or alternatively we can provide a rotation across our inpatient wards, giving you a broad range of experience within our service.

Additionally, if you are a newly qualified nurse, our Preceptorship Academy will help to give you the very best start in your transition from Student to Registered Nurse.

Working within a supportive clinically led team, you will have the opportunity to really work in partnership with patients - engaging, supporting and developing a relationship which really enables the recovery process. With a real commitment to improving care delivery, as part of our team you will be supporting quality improvements and initiatives that will enhance the patient experience.

To deliver a high standard of evidence based inpatient nursing care in the designated care group in partnership with the team, the service users and where appropriate their family.

This post offers The Trust'sGolden Hellofor band 5 or 6 Nurses, or a Relocation Package up to a maximum of £2000. (pro rata applies and subject to terms and conditions. Please see attached Protocol document).
