The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant multidisciplinary team, develop your special interest and psychiatry practice while having the best of what Devon offers. We welcome candidates wishing to work less than full time. We are looking for candidates able to start in August 2022.

About you

This is a great opportunity for a doctor who wishes to take the next step in their career. We would love to hear from you if you are an enthusiastic and forward thinking doctor willing to develop their clinical skills in our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. We are looking for highly motivated and committed individuals, who can help us make a real difference in the lives of young people and their families, who can be part of a team and who can bring enthusiasm and developments into clinical practice. You will have excellent opportunity fordirect clinical time and time to develop other skills, in particular medical education teaching and academic pursuits.

Based at Eastern Devon CAMHS, Evergreen House, Exeter

About us

Candidates will be joining a CQC rated ‘Good’ service, with a strong and established workforce of 15 Child Psychiatrists in Devon and Torbay. The service is particularly interested in modelling the job in line with the successful candidate’s special interest and working preference. Devon CAMHS is part of a wider Integrated service within Children and Family Health Devon, delivering a range of health, social and education services for children and young people. We are a large and progressive CAMH service which values diversity. We are committed to continual service improvement, participation and the use of routine outcome measures to inform our practice.
