Band 7 Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist
We are recruiting for a full time qualified cognitive behavioural psychotherapist (part time hours can be considered). Ideally you will have a core profession in nursing, occupational therapy, counselling or social work or able to demonstrate equivalence via KSA.
The post will be in Community Adult Mental Health within the Barnsley Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) which is part of the Barnsley Business Delivery Unit of SWYPFT. The post will entail aspects of delivering psychological assessment, formulation and treatment for clients across Primary Care as part of the IAPT programme. It will also include working alongside colleagues in Secondary Services to enable the delivery of high quality Psychological Services across Barnsley
Based within the Mental Health Access Team, the selected candidate will provide a service which also includes direct patient work and group work. This will include the supervision of more junior psychological staff along with teaching and training as required. The post holder will be expected to contribute fully to audit, evaluation and research initiatives in keeping with the post and the IAPT initiative. Barnsley IAPT offer clients assessment and treatment up to 8.00pm in the evening, and all clinical staff are expected to work one evening per week up to 8.00pm.
The post holder will be professionally supported within the Psychological Health Care structure, which will compromise a large multi-disciplinary team of clinicians of different disciplines. The personal and professional development of the successful applicant is encouraged through a programme of staff development reviews. The Trust particularly welcomes applicants interested in all aspects of Clinical Governance.
This post is for 37.5 hours per week.
