Lead Occupational Therapist (HCPC registered)

6 mth Secondment Band 7

Service Type: Forensic Women's Secure Blended Service, Secure Care and Offender Health

This post offers an exciting 6 month secondment opportunity to lead the Occupational Therapy Service for the Women's Service within secure care and offender health pathways. This post is essential in bringing together, leading and managing the occupational therapy services.

The treatment programmes we offer to support women on their recovery journey include interventions relating to their personal, psycho-social and leisure environment, employment skills development and vocational training and/or experiences. We also aim to link service users to mainstream or supported further education and work training projects or establishments within the community in preparation for discharge.

There will be a range of support mechanisms available; these will include monthly Lead OT and Senior OT meetings, where you will be included in the work of the wider division and Trust AHP group. In addition you will receive operational management support from the service manager within Ardenleigh and professional supervision from the Consultant Occupational Therapist and site based team clinical supervision.

Person Specification Qualifications & Registration Essential
  • Degree / Diploma Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC Registered as Occupational Therapist
Desirable
  • Membership of professional body ie RCOT
  • Evidence of post grad study
