Paediatric Physiotherapist Band 6 – 2 x Full Time (37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday) (WTE 1.00)

Our service is expanding and we are looking for Physiotherapists who want to develop their clinical and leadership skills within a friendly, supportive and innovative Paediatric Physiotherapy Team based in Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent, which cover Lichfield, Tamworth, Burton on Trent and Rugeley (with potential for other surrounding areas), covered by Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

The service has bases in North Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent, and also in South West and South East Staffordshire. Travel will be required based on service need. We would be happy to discuss specific geographical locations with prospective applicants.

As a community team covering a large geographical area, a UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes will be essential.

These posts offer the chance to manage a mixed caseload of children and young people with neurological, developmental and some musculoskeletal conditions, across both town and rural locations.

You will be joining a multi-skilled team that consists of Band 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7’s. The team and the service is forward thinking with establishing specialities within the service provided by paediatric physiotherapy service.

The team provide assessment and intervention for children and young people with physical difficulties, aged 0-19 years. We work in partnership with families and carers in a variety of settings including special and mainstream schools, patient’s homes and community clinics.

We partnership work with other professionals including Community Paediatricians and Occupational Therapists and have regular liaisons with the Social Care Team, involving multidisciplinary meetings and joint clinics working for information sharing.

You will be expected to use and develop your skills using a variety of approaches and treatment modalities and to work closely with colleagues in other disciplines in order to provide a child-centred, holistic approach to care. You will also participate in the development of other staff and of the service.

You will have a full and comprehensive supervision package; consisting of clinical, peer, management, interest specific support, in order that you are in the best position to develop your skills in providing the best outcome for our patients/customers.
