Are you a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist looking for a new opportunity in the community? Are you enthusiastic with a creative approach to rehabilitation? Are you passionate about making a difference to people’s lives? Then look no further.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time band 6 Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to join our Community Rehab teams in East Staffs for a 12 month temporary contract or secondment. This is an exciting role for someone who would like to gain more experience of community working within a supportive MDT environment, or is looking for a new challenge.

You would be expected to hold a general community caseload, with a requirement to support the Community Stroke Team as needed, working alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses and support workers in this evolving team to…

  • facilitate early discharge
  • prevent admission to hospital
  • maximise quality of life by providing rehabilitation in the community on a 1:1 and group basis

The Team is co-located and works closely with other community services to support service users and share best practice. During the pandemic we have worked innovatively across therapies, and continue to do so, to ensure we have a service that can flex to meet changing demand to provide the best possible service to the people of East Staffordshire. We support each other in any way we can by holding regular meetings, professional development sessions and social events as guidance allows.

The ability to travel independently across East Staffs is essential for this role.

A change to the advertised hours will be considered.
