B6 Senior Physiotherapist

Mayfield Unit, Thurrock Community Hospital.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, skilled and highly motivated Band 6 Senior Physiotherapist to join our team at Mayfield.

Mayfield Unit provides a multi-disciplinary inpatient therapy service for adults over 18

We offer a clean and comfortable environment with a friendly-family atmosphere which gets positively noticed by our patients and their relatives. We have a very supportive team which can easily get lost in a larger-style hospital. We're dedicated to providing quality care to our adult patients over 18 who are referred from our neighbouring acute hospitals.

Main duties of the job

You will be working collaboratively with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to provide a patient-centred service, working to identify holistic patient goals and rehabilitation plans. You will be responsible for the provision of physiotherapy assessment, evidence-based interventions and discharge planning of patients with a variety of conditions.

Mayfield at Thurrock Community Hospital is set in pleasant surroundings with outside garden areas and on-site free parking spaces. A car driver would be desirable in this role as you will be expected to travel between sites to cover staff absences and service needs.

We are committed to continually improving, to provide high quality care and this post offers great opportunity for personal and service development. There are various training and development opportunities within our Trust and you will be supported in your professional development. You will receive regular supervision and participate in a structured in-service training programme in a supportive learning environment. As a band 6 physiotherapist, you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills. You will also have the opportunity to supervise less experienced colleagues and rehabilitation assistants. You will also have opportunity of developing leadership skills by deputising for the band 7 therapists when they are absent.
