We are excited to offer the opportunity to join our friendly and supportive team at the Kite Unit as a Senior Occupational Therapist. The Kite Unit is a specialist inpatient Neuropsychiatric Service operating as part of Solent Neurological Rehabilitation Service.
The unit focuses on short term multi-disciplinary team assessment, rehabilitation, neuro-behavioural/psychiatric and disability management, to support people with a cognitive impairment and co-existing additional complexities, created by mental and physical health needs, after experiencing a brain injury.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will work alongside the ward manager to provide robust, enabling, clinical leadership to the staff team. Demonstrating high standards and excellent clinical knowledge working with people with a cognitive impairment, and a good understanding in the application of the mental health act
It is essential in this role to be registered with the HCPC, with previous inpatient experience, knowledge and emotional resilience. You will be required to work flexibly, and in a timely and responsive manner.
