We have an opportunity for motivated and enthusiastic band 5 Occupational Therapists to work on rotation across acute and community areas. Together we aim to deliver high quality community services within Acute Medicine, frailty and Emergency department, Community working in housing team and rehabilitation and moving and handling. Each Rotation lasts for a 6 month period. This is an exciting opportunity to gain skills and experience working across both acute and community services.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicants will receive formal support from senior staff within the team together with preceptorship in your first year and regular supervision and Appraisal. You will be responsible for the day to day management of your own caseload of patients and participate in quality assurance processes for the allocation of the work. The initial vacancy lies within community therapy and you will need to be a car driver. You will have the opportunity to work very closely with social care staff and nurses. As a junior clinician you will hold a standard case load and you will have the ability and support to make clinical evidenced based decisions across a range of physical patient conditions. You will be expected to work as an autonomous practitioner, manage and prioritise your case load
