  • To work as a skilled member of the nursing team to assist in the provision of high standards of holistic family centred care to children and their families.

Main duties of the job

Are you a registered children's nurse who would like to join a team at Morriston Hospital caring for children and young people within children services. Have you the motivation and commitment to provide evidenced based care whilst exercising a children rights based approach, then we would love to welcome you to our team.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering a high standard of specialist evidence based care to children and their families within the acute paediatric wards. The post holder will be a key member in relation to development of practice on the ward. They will be working independently/autonomously without direct supervision, accountable for own professional actions.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Job responsibilities

To assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised patient care ensuring that this is appropriately, adequately and safely documented.

Carry out nursing procedures

Provide clinical supervision to students.

Care must be in adherence to local and national policies.

To ensure that relationships and own behaviour is managed in line with the Health Board competencies and NMC code of conduct.

Demonstrate a continued commitment to development.
