We would like to invite 3rd year student midwives to attend our open day on Saturday 16th March.

We are experiencing an exciting period of change within our Women's Health Service at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals, embracing a cross site approach supporting innovation and improvements within the current and evolving maternity agenda. Our aim is to ensure we provide outstanding care for our women and their families, whilst focusing on being the very best place to work.

Main duties of the job

The open day will include:

Presentation about our Preceptorship Package, including the support available for our Newly Qualified Midwives.

A chance to meet some of our Specialist Midwives and hear about training and development opportunities.

Speak to our current Band 5 Midwives about their experiences so far.

Time for Q& A to ensure you have all the information you need to ensure we are the right unit for you!

  • Qualified Midwife


Desirable

  • Mentorship in practice or equivalent


Experience

Essential

  • Minimum 12 months practice experience to apply for band 6


Desirable

  • Qualified applicants with a PIN should have experience as a practicing midwife
