Main duties of the job

We are looking for committed and dynamic nurses with excellent communication skills and above all a real desire and passion to work with people, getting it right for patients and their families.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate willingness and capability to work flexibly with a commitment to excellent team working that is absolutely essential during potentially stressful and challenging situations.

The post holder will practice autonomously and be responsible and accountable for safe, compassionate person-centred evidence-based nursing that respects and maintains dignity and human rights.

There is a planned move for this service during Autumn 2025, when this role and base of work may relocate to Bournemouthsite. Upon relocation of the role/service, excess mileage allowance / reimbursement will not apply, and any travel between the post holder's home and work base will be classified as a commute. Any other changes unrelated to this, will be handled in line with Trust/National terms and conditions.

Qualifications

Essential

  • NMC Registered Nurse
  • Advanced Diploma/Degree in Adult Health Nursing Studies


Experience

Essential

  • Caring for patients with acute and long term conditions


Desirable

  • Providing training and education


Technical Skills Competencies

Essential

  • Knowledge of clinical systems
  • Time management skills
  • Medications management: IV and IV medication administration including administration of blood products.


Knowledge

Essential

  • Ability to demonstrate fundamental nursing knowledge and practice skills to recognise deteriorating patients
