Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and enthusiastic clinician to join our well established, innovative team of musculoskeletal physiotherapists.

The posts are based at our main Barnet and Chase Farm sites and will include cross site working. Patient care will be a mix of Telehealth and face to face consultations and will involve extended hours and evening work dependent on demand. The successful candidate will have significant postgraduate experience of working with patients with complex conditions working within a bio-psychosocial approach on a one-to-one basis as well as within a group context. They will share responsibility for supporting junior and less experienced staff working. They will be expected to participate in the teaching and training of more junior staff and other health care professionals as appropriate.The successful candidate should be enthusiastic and passionate and have the motivation to encourage and facilitate best practice. We are looking for an individual who is an excellent communicator and team player.

Education & professional Qualifications


  • Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration for Physiotherapy
  • Evidence or portfolio of postgraduate continued development in specialist spinal area
  • Evidence of study at masters level


  • BSc Degree in Physiotherapy or Diploma or equivalent
  • Membership of specialist interest group



  • Specialist in-depth knowledge and experience in complex/spinal area
  • Experience of working with patients of all age groups
  • Knowledge and experience of a wide range of approaches for the management of patients within complex conditions
  • Experience of multidisciplinary and interagency working
  • Awareness of cognitive behavioural approaches to rehabilitation
  • Experience of group work
  • Previous experience of staff & student supervision/ clinical education
  • Experience of leading a team
  • Experience of quality improvement and/or clinical audit and/or research
  • Experience of teaching to unidisciplinary/ multidisciplinary groups
  • Evidence of active involvement in service development & contribution to change within the workplace


  • Working at Band 7 level
  • Evidence of successfully working within various mediums, including face to face and virtual
