This is an exciting opportunity for highly motivated individuals to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in developing our Complex Rehabilitation service which will be situated in Somerset Villa on the Chase Farm site in Enfield. Somerset Villa is to become a 13 bedded unit offering rehabilitation assessment & treatment. The service is an integral part of the local adult mental health care pathway and works in partnership with key stakeholders. The service will offer a specialist multidisciplinary team who will provide intensive input, working with service users in developing individualised care programmes in preparation for successful step down to a range of accommodation & supported housing in the community. The principles of co-production and delivery of 'Values Based Practice' are key to the delivery of this service.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for registered mental health nurses who enjoy working in a dynamic and challenging environment. You would remain focused on enabling and empowering staff to deliver high quality patient care & focussed outcomes. You must be able to work flexibly and efficiently within the MDT and have excellent communication skills.

You must possess the clinical skills and competence necessary for caring for this group of service users. Please see job description and personal specification for further details. This clinical area is aimed at providing considerable opportunity for personal and professional development.

  • Experience of working within a mental health setting (as a student for newly qualified staff)
  • Knowledge of a full range of therapeutic skills and approaches
  • Knowledge of the principles of diversity to be applied to clinical and workplace practice in relationships with service users, their relatives and carers and colleagues
Skills and Abilities Essential
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of the personal and clinical needs of individual service users, their relatives and carers.
  • Able to develop effective relationships with external agencies.
  • To make balanced judgements and decisions.
