This is an exciting time within Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and the CHCP East Riding MSK service is driving a number of innovative pathways and digital progressions to improve patient care and service delivery.We will be looking for staff who are interested in developing themselves and our service and we actively promote career progression.

We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic Band 6 Physiotherapists to join our well-established MSK team in our out patient department at Goole hopsital . The role requires the post holder to deliver physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation to patients across the East Riding. We promote evidence based learning and pride ourselves on well led, supportive models of supervision and development.

Main duties of the job

To deliver advanced MSK physiotherapy assessment, within the MSK service to advise on and provide treatment plans for patients referred to the service, to act as a source of expertise to fellow clinicians, managers, AHPs and other services outside of the organisation as required. The work base will be identified and be flexible depending on service need.

To participate in training and development of staff and services, to aid in clinical audits, supervision, CPD planning and service planning to ensure optimal efficiency and effectiveness, aiding in summary reports and dissemination of information to the team.

The post holder will work alongside colleagues in developing the service and contribute to the team so that all key performance indicators are met in accordance with the service specification.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
  • Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Current full HCPC Registration
  • Post Graduate Diploma in relevant area
Desirable
  • Additional relevant qualifications. Eg; Masters level education, independent prescribing
  • Counselling Skills
Knowledge Essential
  • Knowledge and understanding of local/regional rehabilitation services
  • Understand the importance of the supported self-management model.
  • Evidence of CPD activity, including nationally recognised training undertaken in relevant speciality.
  • Evidence of reflective practice, IST and CPD portfolio
Experience Essential
  • Broad based clinical experience covering core clinical areas in musculoskeletal service
  • Post graduate experience of working within musculoskeletal settings.
Desirable
  • Experience of involvement in audit and/or research.
  • Previous experience in undertaking management duties.
