As part of an extension to the already successful People Promise Exemplar sites, East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust has been selected to participate in the second round of this work.

NHS England is facilitating this by providing 12 months funding for a People Promise Manager who will work alongside the Engagement & Wellbeing team in realising the full potential of the NHS People Promise at ESHT.

Being part of a network of People Promise Managers across the NHS, combined with the local intelligence, expertise and enthusiasm existing within the established Engagement & Wellbeing team, this post holder will have the opportunity to hit the ground running and accelerate interventions that will have a true and genuine impact on the retention and wellbeing of our people here at ESHT.

Qualifications

• Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area

Experience

Essential

• Extensive knowledge of specialist areas acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master's level equivalent
• Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development
• Have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement
• Have an appreciation of the relationship between the Department of Health and individual provider and commissioning organisations
• Experience of managing and motivating a team/virtual team and reviewing performance of the individuals

Desirable

• Comprehensive experience of project principles techniques and tools such as Prince 2 and Managing Successful Projects
• Experience of identifying and interpreting national policy
• Member of relevant professional body
