We're looking for an Operational Programme Manager who will play a key role in in the programme to bring a full Electronic Patient Record (EPR) to the Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in this exciting programme of work.

Working as part of the Senior Team responsible for delivery of the EPR, the role will manage and lead work on behalf of operational areas to ensure that supporting projects are delivered within agreed timescales and budgets. The post holder will have matrix management responsibility for the Operational Workstream Leads, who will be responsible for the delivery of projects which support implementation of the EPR in their own areas.

The post will be based at either Conquest Hospital, St Leonards-on-Sea or Eastbourne DGH, with travel to other Trust sites as required and opportunities for flexible/home working.

Main duties of the job

The role will provide the key link between the EPR programme and operational areas, working collaboratively with clinicians, operational staff, patients, families and carers to fully understand their needs and ensure these are translated appropriately into the design and build of the EPR.

They will also ensure that governance arrangements for the programme are effective and, whilst monitoring delivery of all workstreams, maintain an overview of risks and issues, ensuring mitigation plans are in place where needed.

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a transformational, change management, project management or quality improvement environment within healthcare. They will have experience of working with a wide range of colleagues to deliver programme objectives in an operational setting.

They will also have highly developed analytical skills and be able to assimilate complex information quickly, effectively communicating that information to others in a way that meets the needs of the intended audience.
