We are seeking an enthusiastic clinical educator to join our friendly Clinical Skills and Resuscitation Team. This role is suited to a clinically qualified person with SystmOne related I.T. skills or an I.T. specialist with advanced S1 skills who would like to work within a multidisciplinary clinically focused team. This role will cover the secondment of the current post holder to the EPR team and may offer scope for extension.

The Team provides a wide range of clinical skills and resuscitation training at present we are looking for a suitably qualified person specifically with the skills to provide clinical IT systems training. This may suit a clinically qualified person, currently using our clinical IT systems, who wishes to develop their training portfolio. Whilst the ability to contribute to our other areas of training is important, due to the fixed term role your focus will be solely on the clinical IT systems aspect of the job description.

This is an exciting opportunity to help develop and integrate education & training across professional groups within the Trust and to offer similar courses to employees from outside the organisation. Qualifications

Essential

  • oRecognised teaching qualification (e.g. SLIP, PGCE)
  • oDegree or equivalent experience
  • oRegistered healthcare professional


Desirable

  • oBLS, ILS, ALS, NLS, APLS Instructor
  • oOSCE examiner
  • oAdditional teaching qualifications e.g. Masters degree
  • oQualified medical / non-medical prescriber


Experience

Essential

  • oSignificant experience working in a clinical environment
  • oInvolvement as mentor / assessor / teaching / faculty in at least half of our core areas
  • Experience using S1 in acute trust


Desirable

  • oWorking in a clinical education environment
  • oTeaching technical and non-technical skills preferably across professional groups
  • Experience using S1 in primary care
