We work with clients who have reached older age and are experiencing mental health difficulties such as depression, psychosis and complex emotional needs. We also provide a memory assessment service and offer specialist interventions for people with a diagnosis of dementia that have complex needs.

Do you have an interest in caring for older adults with mental health needs? Would you like to work within a supportive Team? Apply now, this could be the role for you!

Main duties of the job

Your role within the team would be varied, allowing plenty of opportunity to both demonstrate and develop your skills as well as offering a dynamic working life. You will have a caseload of community-based clients which would involve monitoring and assessment of mental health, risk and co-ordinating treatment plans. This also involves providing support to carers and loved ones.

You will have opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the memory service pathway including assessment, diagnosis and aftercare.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop organisational skills and clinical confidence. As a Band 6 clinician you will be working autonomously but you will have access to the support of the Admin Team, Mental health Support Workers, Psychologists, Consultant Psychiatrists, in addition to Nursing and Occupational Therapy colleagues. We work very closely as a Team providing plenty of opportunity to discuss clinical cases and risk.
