Southampton Division - Community Mental Health Services
Practice Development Nurse/Practitioner
Band 7
We are currently looking to offer a one-year secondment or a one-year fixed term contract to cover the Practice Development Nurse/Practitioner post in the community pathway in the Southampton Division. If you have experience working at Band 7 level and are keen to step into a leadership and practice development role this could be the perfect opportunity to gain further experience in this field. The role will enable the continued development of our staff and services.
The post holder will be an integral member of the Divisional Community Leadership Team and will be involved in working with key stakeholders and partners to achieve the Community Mental Health Framework and our Divisional business plan. The post holder will also work closely with students, preceptee’s and our broader workforce on individual or team develop.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is thinking of developing their career and interested in taking the next step into a leadership and practice development role. This is an excellent opportunity to experience leadership and gain insight into the vision and direction of community adult mental health services in Southampton. The role will be fully supported by the Head of Nursing within the community pathway.
The post holder will lead by example, commit to team working and will have the necessary skills to successfully support the teams. The expected pattern of work will be Monday-Friday 9-5pm although flexibility within this will be considered. They will have excellent communication skills, be able to support and empower others and enjoy working across multiple services and teams including close networking with voluntary sector organisations and partnership agencies, including Southampton City Council.
