We have an exciting opportunity to join a strong senior nurse team within the Oxford and BSW Mental Health Directorate of Oxford Health NHS foundation Trust.

We are looking for an experienced senior nurse who is passionate about older adult inpatient care and physical health to join the older adult Inpatient Services for Oxford Health covering 2 units based on the Fulbrook site. This post will have oversight of interventional psychiatry and take an active role in leading and overseeing meeting the physical health for SMI objectives for the Adult and Older Adult inpatient and community MH Teams.

The postholder will work closely with the Modern Matrons who lead the respective teams they lead, with senior matrons from across the directorate and the Head of Nursing.

The successful applicant will be ambitious and have a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to work effectively with others and develop strong working relationships across the organisation and partnership agencies is key. We are also looking for someone who is able to work flexibly and be responsive to the needs of the service. This role requires the successful applicant to develop close working links with a wide range of teams including, Community Older Adult and Adult service leads in addition to the Acute hospitals.

We are looking for a dynamic leader, with evidence of strong leadership and management skills, which can be supported and developed as the service looks to grow meeting the needs of all individuals who require an inpatient stay.
