With the development of our inpatient Therapy services to a 7day therapy service we are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Occupational Therapists to join our dynamic inpatient rehabilitation team at Gosport War Memorial Hospital.

You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality care and rehabilitation. You will use your skills and experience to provide individualised rehabilitation programmes to patients with a range of functional and rehabilitative needs, who are either recovering from an acute episode of care or step up from the community. Focus will be on innovative rehabilitation programmes that enable safe discharge with ongoing plans being met through our community integrated enablement services.

You will have a clear understanding of patients with long term conditions and should be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical assessment and reasoning, as well as being able to demonstrate experience of rehabilitation through group work and individualised programmes.

You will be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills. You will need to be confident and assertive with excellent personal skills and can demonstrate these in a pressurised environment.

You will be Educated to Degree or Diploma level and hold HCPC registration. The successful applicant will be proficient using IT systems.

We will consider staff looking for part time or job share opportunities, and staff will be required to work over a 7 day period. Access to a vehicle and possession of a full driving license is essential.

There are CPD opportunities around service development as well as structured supervision, peer support groups and appraisals. You will lead in supervision and appraisals of staff and students within the Therapy team.
