We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated associate director of PFI. This is a key post, deputising for the Group Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities. You will have specific responsibility for our Private Finance Initiatives at St Bartholomew's, Royal London and Newham University Hospitals.

Main duties of the job

Passionate about EFM and people, you will have a professional qualification and specific operational experience in a number of areas capital assurance, PFI, contracting and asset management. You will have hands on experience of delivery as well as more strategic experience of developing strategy in core areas.

Your primary base will be Canary Wharf, but you will be expected to attend the PFI sites. However, there is also flexibility for you to work from home where appropriate.

Essential

  • Significant experience of contract management preferably in an NHS environment
  • Experience of completing an annual business planning cycles and contract negotiation


Desirable

  • Experience of working in a pathology setting


Knowledge

Essential

  • Up to date knowledge of NHS organisational challenges and developments
  • Knowledge of organisational funding flows and the complexities of reporting in a complex organisation


Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to masters level or equivalent

Essential

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills suitable for a range of audiences, including chairing of meetings.

  • Ability to analyse and utilise complex information, review options and make recommendations to senior managers
  • Ability to think strategically, plan and implement change effectively
  • Excellent planning (short and longer term) and organisational skills. Plan and organise broad range of complex activities, adjusts plans or strategies as necessary
