An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced psychologist or psychological therapist with a special interest in working with people with a diagnosis of personality disorder. You will join the Southampton Division of Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, based at College Keep, Southampton. We are a cohesive, supportive and friendly team with a wealth of clinical expertise including CBT, DBT, CAT, ACT, EMDR and psychodynamic approaches. We have good supervision structures and an excellent track record of CPD, as well as strong links with the University of Southampton and the University of Plymouth.

In this role, you will lead on the provision of DBT, as well as holding a more mixed therapy caseload which will help you consolidate and develop your clinical skills. You will also have the opportunity to lead a DBT Family Connections group for relatives and carers. You will also provide supervision, consultation and training to staff working in the community mental health teams.

We are looking for someone who has strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for working with a group of people who are often stigmatised and excluded. You will be well-supported to develop your skills in assessment, therapy, consultation and leadership. Support and training can be offered to complete your accreditation in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy if required. You will have the opportunity to supervise trainees, as well as providing professional management to one or more psychological therapists.

You will primarily be based at College Keep, Southampton and will be managed by a Principal Clinical Psychologist. Flexible working arrangements are possible, including some remote working according to clinical need.

Part-time working and job share arrangements will be considered for the right applicant.

We are committed to equality of opportunity and keen to increase the diversity of our team.
