The MFT Cancer Performance Manager will provide support using their high level cancer knowledge and management skills to enable change to support delivery of MFT cancer objectives and priorities identified within the local cancer delivery plans. The breadth of MFTs Cancer programme covers the whole pathway including screening and early diagnosis, personalised care and sustainable operational performance.
The MFT Cancer Performance Manager will be responsible for the development, management and implementation of key projects across MFT organisations. The role will require project management skills to deliver objectives in accordance with the aims and ambitions of MFT. The role will encompass a performance management element which will help drive the improvement of MFT Cancer Performance and Compliance, to ensure the best outcomes for all MFT patients on a Cancer Pathway. The role will work with hospital sites in order to ensure performance and compliance, in adherence with National Cancer Wait Times and any other relevant national guidance. This may include analysis of cancer breaches to enable corrective action planning. In conjunction with the Head of Cancer Performance, the role will also support and plan the Quality Assurance Process within MFT. This requires a level of political awareness, personal influence and skill.

- Oversight and co-ordination of cancer improvement projects
- Project management and day to day running of one or more large scale transformation projects
- Performance reporting compliance within the cancer programme governance framework
- Identifying and managing the risks associated with performance targets
- Support the planning and implementation of the Quality Assurance Process
- Providing expert cancer management advice and support to other staff and teams within MFT organisations
