Advanced Nurse Practitioner - CAMHS
We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Band 8A Advanced Nurse Practitioner with an interest in Neurodevelopmental conditions, with a particular specialist interest in ADHD.
Kirklees CAMHS are currently in the process of reviewing and redesigning their service offer for the Neurodevelopmental pathway. You will play a key role in the development of ADHD services with a commitment to ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service. You will lead the nursing contribution to the development of the ADHD provision for children and young people in Kirklees as part of a wider service investment in trainee ACP’s and Non-Medical Prescribers.
You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team involved in the assessment and diagnosis of suspected Neurodevelopmental conditions. You will use your advanced clinical skills and knowledge to explore appropriate treatment and care options where a diagnosis of ADHD has been given. You will work as an autonomous prescriber where you will effectively manage a dedicated caseload. You will work collaboratively alongside CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrists, Trainee ACP’s and Advanced Nurse Practitioners.
The role will involve the development of clinical practice to meet the needs of young people with ADHD, undertake research and audit, lead service developments and support close partnerships with others including young people and their families, provider services and professional education providers.
This is a Clinical Specialist Band 8a post, which will require a level of experience and confidence to lead on this exciting development. If you are passionate about ADHD and working with children, young people and their families in this diverse and complex area, then we would welcome enquiries or an application from you.
All employees of the Trust are strongly encouraged to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to protect patients. You will be asked to confirm your vaccination status prior to being appointed to this role.
Successful applicants will be required to complete a DBS Check.
