Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT) is looking to recruit a Head of Child Psychological Services to lead on the clinical psychology and psychological therapies provision to a range of Children and Young People (CYP) Services provided by LPFT.

LPFT CYP Services are highly regarded both within the NHS and by partner agencies external to the NHS. LPFT CAMHS has achieved an “Outstanding” rating from CQC twice in a row in recent years and, most recently, LPFT has been recognised by its staff as being one of the best Mental Health Trust employers.

A newly expanded child clinical psychology led service within our LPFT CYP Services, Lincolnshire CYP Complex Needs Service, has recently won the Mental Health and Wellbeing Award at the CYP Now Awards 2021 and we continue to attract national and local contracts and funds to further develop our Emotional Well Being and Mental Health Services for Children and Young People and their families and carers.

We are now looking for an innovative and energetic and experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist with extensive leadership skills to continue to progress and develop the child psychological service provision within Lincolnshire.

The successful applicant will need to have experience of collaboratively working with NHS managers and leaders, as well as with commissioners and leaders from other agencies, to ensure that psychology remains an integral part of our current CYP Service provision. Their role will include the development and provision of evidence regarding where psychological services need to be more robustly provided within some of our other local partner organisations, such other local Health Trusts and social care agencies.

We will be aiming to appoint someone who is proactive in working with others, (including commissioners, managers, front line staff and service users and their carers), to ensure our services keep children and young people and their families at the centre of everything we do and who ensure our services are accessible to all.

The successful applicant will need to evidence extensive experience of working with children, young people and their carers and families and will need to be confident in line managing and supervising a range of clinical staff, not just psychologists.

In return you will join a thriving Child Psychological Therapies service which includes clinical psychologists, family therapists, CBT therapists, art therapy, forensic psychology. You will be part of a strong CYP managers team as well as being part of a Divisional Management team and Professional Psychology team. A range of trainings and supervisions are on offer to all staff and CPD is actively encouraged
