An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic team on Ward 2b Clifton Hospital as an Band 6 Charge Nurse/ Sister.

We are a 17 mixed bedded , complex discharge and rehabilitation ward . You will be supported by other Band 6 staff and Ward Manager along with ward staff and the multidisciplinary team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and positive person to help support the Ward Manager and to ensure a high standard of care is delivered. If you think that this role is for you then we look forward to receiving your application.

Main duties of the job

We are currently looking to recruit 1 Band 6 , to work as part of the team on Ward 2b at Clifton Hospital.

The Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse will support the Ward Manager and act as a deputy on occasions. Anyone interested must display a positive, resilient, enthusiastic and dynamic approach in caring for our acute elderly patients, and must be a team player.

Outstanding communication skills, ability to lead and support the team along with use of initiative is essential within the role as is the desire to deliver safe, effective and compassionate patient care.

Job responsibilities

The band 6 role will involve coordinating the unit, whilst ensuring the safe admission/discharge or transfer of all our patients, You will supervise the junior members of staff to deliver high standards of care throughout their stay on Ward 2b Clifton . It will involve close communication with the multi disciplinary team. You will also contribute to the management of the ward and the prevention of patient harm.

  • Post registration qualification in speciality



  • -Substantial post registration experience within relevant specialty
