Healthy Minds, the Buckinghamshire IAPT service, is looking for a motivated, passionate qualified High Intensity CBT Therapist to join the team!

You will have experience and an interest in working with people with common mental health problems, many of whom also have a comorbid long-term physical health condition. You should be able to demonstrate your use of evidence-based practice, preferably in a primary care setting. Ideally, you should be BABCP accredited, or working towards this currently.

Healthy Minds is nationally recognised as a high performing Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service. We are an exciting, innovative and successful service to work for! We are based amongst the beautiful rolling Chiltern Hills, making Buckinghamshire and the surrounding area, stunning places to work and live. The Healthy Minds Service delivers a wide range of therapies across the county to meet the needs of people presenting with common mental health problems. In addition to our core IAPT service, we are a wave 1 IAPT service for long term conditions providing integrated physical and psychological care for people with long term physical health conditions. We are also a wave 1 site for the provision of employment advisors in IAPT. The service was used as an example of good practice by NHS England and the work of the service was featured in the New York Times.

We offer a range of psychological, employment and social interventions across the county. At step 2 psychoeducational groups, computerised CBT, book prescription and other forms of guided self help. At step 3 individual and group CBT, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, interpersonal therapy, couples therapy for depression, and EMDR. Healthy Minds is also leading developments in work with people with long term physical health conditions.

The service has over 200 staff including Psychological Therapists, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, Support Time Recovery Workers (providing help with housing, financial or social difficulties) and Employment Advisors (employed by Richmond Fellowship). A team of clinical supervisors and managers support staff to deliver the service effectively and safely.

Staff wellbeing is a top priority for us. We have a very active, award winning, wellbeing team within the service and work hard to ensure that a supportive, collaborative and productive culture is in place.

This is an excellent opportunity to join Oxford Health, a large and innovative NHS Foundation trust, which has a strong track record for supporting the development of psychological therapy services. The Trust has two IAPT services, a range of specialist psychological therapy services and employs over 300 psychological therapists. Healthy Minds and the Trust provide regular high quality CPD and training. The Trust hosts the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre and the OCTC. Healthy Minds is actively involved in research, participating in a number of local and national studies. The service benefits from being a member of the Oxford Academic Health Sciences Network – Anxiety and Depression Network led by Professor David Clark

In turn, you will be given regular expert clinical supervision, managerial supervision and access to an extensive CPD training programme. The service benefits from close links with the Oxford Institute of Clinical Psychology Training Course and the Oxford Academic Health Science Anxiety and Depression Network led by Professor David Clark.
