CT Radiographers to work in a large friendly CT department.
The department is based across 2 sites, Hull Royal Infirmary in the city centre and Castle Hill Hospital situated on the outskirts, approximately 5 miles away. Hull Royal Infirmary is a regional trauma centre. Castle Hill is the regional oncology and cardio-thoracic centre.
The CT department supports a range of specialities including, trauma, neurosurgery, paediatrics, cardio thoracic, oncology, orthopaedics, E.N.T., urology, and General and Vascular surgery.
The Radiology department offers an excess travel/relocation package up to a total of �4,000 to new employees to the Trust currently living in excess of 1 hour travelling distance from the Trust, subject to conditions of acceptance being met.
We welcome applications form newly qualified radiographers or student radiographers graduating in 2024
Main duties of the job
This advertisement is for Band 5/ 6 CT Radiographer roles, depending on experience
We have an opportunity for a flexible, enthusiastic, motivated Radiographers to join our friendly dedicated teams of CT Radiographers.
The department is committed to the continuing education of our Radiographers. CPD is actively encouraged and supported with the Radiology department running a number of educational events throughout the year, and Radiographers are encouraged to study for Post graduate qualifications. The department currently has Radiographers reporting CTC examinations.
Minimum requirements are BSc or DCR(R) in Diagnostic Radiography. Applications for band 5 (including students graduating in 2022) or band 6 will be accepted.
The CT department has 5 CT scanners: - (1 x Canon Aquilion Prime, 1 x Canon Aquilion One Genesis, 1 x Siemens Edge plus, 1 x Siemens X.cite scanner and 1 x Siemens Go Top).
It is expected that the successful candidates will contribute towards the 7 day service. The department at Hull Royal Infirmary operates a 24 hours CT service with a night duty shift system. Castle Hill currently operates 7 days with on-call for out of hours, and bank holidays. The successful candidates will be expected to perform duties at both sites.
