We are looking to recruit a Mental Health Nurse to join our community mental health team based at Colne House in Watford. However, you will work flexibly away from the base for most of the working time seeing people in the own homes, in care homes or in GP surgeries. The administrative aspect of the job can be done remotely from home, from other sites, or at Colne House.
As part of MHSOP you will be within the Community Team, and will have close links with our Crisis Function, Care Home Function, Early Memory Diagnosis and Support Service and Therapies - along with all the disciplines that work across and within them. You will develop working relationships and links with GPs and other professionals and organisations that work within your PCN so that the people you see get the right care at the right time.
As a team we regularly hold teaching and reflective sessions and look to embed an open culture of learning through our governance. You will have regular supervision, and an appraisal that looks to support your development, helping you to think about what you would like to do after the secondment ends.
This post could be a development opportunity, or a chance for a Nurse currently working at Band 5 in a different setting to try a higher grade as a Community Nurse in MHSOP to see what it is like.
This core hours for the team are Monday to Friday 9-5. You could however work the 37.5 hours flexibly, for example over 4 days- please contact Jason Asemota (Interim Quadrant Manager) on 01923 837154 or 01923 837148 if you would like to discuss possible options.
If you are passionate about caring for older people in the community, we are the right team for you.
Car driver (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010 which prevents you from driving).
