A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join a new team of professionals working on the innovative Children and Young People’s PEACE project, aiming to improve care pathways and experience for young people with suspected autism and eating disorders/difficulties. This project is being developed across the Bucks, Oxford and Berks Integrated Care System. We wish to recruit experienced clinicians and aspiring psychologists with an interest in autism, eating disorders, healthcare innovation and/or research. We are looking to recruit either senior nurses and/or clinical psychologists to lead on delivering this project. We have recently secured NHSE funding as part of an initiative to improve community provision for young people with autism. You will partner with a dedicated trust or you may work across more than one trust, which may require some local travel.
There is increasing recognition of the benefit of combining specialist knowledge in both neurodevelopmental conditions and eating disorders in order to improve clinical care and outcomes. A novel approach called the PEACE pathway has been co-produced by patients, clinicians, carers, and researchers within South London and Maudsley NHS Trust Eating Disorders Services. We propose to adapt this pathway for children and young people across the Thames Valley over the next three years and beyond.
Flexible / part time / job share will be considered
Please note interviews may take place before the closing date if sufficient applicants received
