About us

Our organisation formed in April 2020 from 2 legacy organisations in the Black Country. We have weathered the storm over the last two years through the combination of Covid and Trust merger and are now moving towards harmonisation and recovery of our services. We have recently achieved a rating of 'Good' with the CQC and are proud of our work to develop an internal Clinical strategy, a People strategy, an EDI strategy and a Health and Wellbeing strategy for our staff. There are thriving staff networks focussed on BAME, LGBTQ+ and Disability issues amongst our workforce and we support and encourage involvement in these from our AHP colleagues.

Within the Allied Health Professional leadership team we are committed to the values of Recovery, co-production, empowerment and are building a strong focus on robust governance, clear processes and compassionate leadership. The organisation welcomed a Director of Therapies in Summer 2021 who supports the AHP Divisional Leads and broader APH Group in further promoting and embedding occupational therapy thinking and practices within the organisation. We are working closely with the Black Country ICS and our System partners to develop a comprehensive mental health offer to the local Black Country population.
