An opportunity has arisen for a Mental Health Practitioner (Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers are encouraged to apply) to join our team. We are looking for someone to join Shropshire Psychosis East Pathway, part of The Midlands Partnership Trust community mental health services. The successful applicant will have an interest in working with patients who have a primary diagnosis of psychosis. We are based at Hall Court, Telford, but serve the east area of Shropshire having a spoke Bridgnorth. This is an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to develop skills working in this field encompassing a full MDT approach.

We have a person centred, recovery focused aim providing care coordination to our most complex, vulnerable patients. The successful applicant will be able to encourage effective engagement of this cohort of patients utilising excellent communication skills, maintaining compassion and hope through every contact. Essential clinical skills are required to manage, advise and educate around psychotic diagnoses and the Pathway is looking to incorporate a psychological approach to increase independence, working toward improved quality of life.

There is an emphasis on team based multi-disciplinary decision making which lends itself to creating a supportive environment for staff. We value rich and thoughtful discussion about our patients and consider their needs in a holistic way. We want a culture of active service development with staff of all bands and experience being involved in this process.
