A 6 month fixed term/secondment has become available within the Sparkhill Home Treatment Team. This post is full time as a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse.
The role will entail co-ordinating and providing specialist acute crisis psychiatric intervention and expertise to service users in crisis 24 hours per day, 7 days per week within their own homes/residence.
This secondment will be suitable for anyone wanting Home Treatment experience.
Main duties of the job
In addition, the team provides a gate-keeping service to inpatient wards; facilitating early discharge and providing an effective and viable alternative to hospital admission for clients in crisis.
This post includes working within a multi-disciplinary team, co-ordinating shifts, managing referrals to the service and signposting to other services.
You will be working within a team but also following procedures and policy for lone working.
