Occupational Therapist Mental Health Rotation Band 5 37.5 hrs per week Permanent

As Allied Health Professionals (AHP’s), we focus on maintaining people’s essential life skills, making life better for our communities, using a recovery focused approach and living well with dementia approach.
The Shropshire mental health rotation spans six diverse clinical areas including in-patient and community settings. Each rotation is for a 12 month period, changing in September. Due to our current band 5s moving upwards and onwards, we will have vacancies in two of the rotations below:
Successful applicants will be able to function autonomously in multidisciplinary teams, with supervision from an experienced senior occupational therapist in the team. There will be an expectation that the post holder will work flexibly, demonstrate effective clinical reasoning, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The post will involve taking responsibility for your own caseload of service users that you may care coordinate. There will be balance between generic and profession specific work. The environment could be fast pace and challenging, however, highly rewarding. Your role will involve working with other agencies, families, carers and local communities.
Current HCPC registration required.

- Adult Community Mental Health, Shrewsbury

- Crisis Response and Home Treatment, Shrewsbury
- Bee U (children’s services), Shrewsbury
