Are you looking for a new challenge, where every day is different? Then you will be interested in the exciting opportunities that have arisen to join our Wigan Teams as a Senior Mental Health Practitioner.

The team consist of experienced multi disciplinary colleagues, including Psychiatrists, SNP's, O/T's and Psychologists, all working to a Recovery based approach. You will have ongoing supervision, with opportunities to develop via relevant training, appropriate to this role.

The role within the team will allow you to develop skills in both assessment and risk management, allowing you to deliver care in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics and community environments.

Main duties of the job

The Teams provide care, treatment and support to adults with significant mental health needs in the borough of Wigan and Leigh. You will be required to have experience of working in a similar setting and role. You will undertake the duties of care coordinator, managing a caseload of service users, with complex mental health needs, under the CPA framework.

You would also be involved in managing duty call from adult service users with severe and enduring mental illness, predominantly who are open to the team on Non CPA offering advice and support.

The service operates between 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, but some flexibility will be required to cover weekend clinics as will the ability to travel within the area. Applications are welcome from candidates who are looking for part and full-time work.
