This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our team within our Specialist Adult Eating Disorder Service (SAEDS) based at The Willows, Hanley, Stoke on Trent, working full time, 09.00-17.00 Monday to Friday. As a part of your role working within the team you will utilise your specialist skills and knowledge to assist with the assessment and treatment planning for clients referred to SAEDS.
Our SAEDS seeks to provide a high quality service to ensure that clients receive their care by the right person in the right place at the right time, supported by NICE guidance. Enhancing education, prevention, early intervention and strengthened pathways.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a self-motivated, organised individual who is committed to the their role promoting the principles and practice of recovery and is able to provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and clinical interventions for adults with complex eating disorders and act as care co-ordinator where necessary. If you have experience in leading, working in community settings and working collaboratively across teams you may be the person we are looking for.

To contribute to multidisciplinary assessment and treatment of adults with eating disorders, their parents, carers and families where necessary.
To provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and clinical interventions for adults with complex eating disorders.
To be responsible for own caseload and provide care coordination.
To contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of OT Services within the Specialist Adult Eating Disorder Team.
To offer support, guidance and training in Occupational therapy interventions to team members.

- Professional Qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with HCPC
- Experience of working in mental health services
- Range of skills and competencies in the delivery of Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions.
