We are looking for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our friendly and supportive Community Therapy and Falls Team in East Staffordshire, to help us to continue to change things for the better.

Are you…..

A newly qualified Occupational Therapist or looking for an opportunity to develop skills in rehabilitation and falls management?

Enthusiastic with a creative approach to rehabilitation

Passionate about making a difference to people’s lives?

If so, we would love to hear from you!

As one of our Occupational Therapists, you will join a friendly, highly skilled and motivated multi-disciplinary team, based in Burton on Trent.

We can offer you…..
  • Opportunity to develop skills in rehabilitation
  • Training opportunities – external and in-service
  • Established and supportive supervision and appraisal structure, including support through preceptorship
  • Flexible working

You will work alongside Physiotherapy colleagues, Occupational Therapists, Nurses and support workers in this evolving team to…..
  • facilitate early discharge
  • prevent admission to hospital
  • maximise quality of life by providing rehabilitation in the community on a 1:1 and group basis

The Team is co-located with other community services and we all work closely to support service users and share best practice. During the pandemic we have worked innovatively across therapies, and continue to do so, to ensure we have a service that can flex to meet changing demand to provide the best possible service to the people of East Staffordshire. We support each other in any way we can by holding regular meetings, professional development sessions and social events as guidance allows.

Ability to travel independently across East Staffs is essential for this role.
