We are looking for a Deputy Team Manager which will concentrate on supporting the team to deliver services to the Paignton and Brixham PCN

The post holder will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to the effective provision of Mental Health Services to an identified caseload of service users.

The role is dynamic and challenging. The post holder will work as a senior member of the team and
  • liaise with a wide range of both statutory and non-statutory agencies to provide creative packages of care
  • provide managerial supervision and support to junior members of the team
  • provide managerial overview to day-day team needs (such as ensuring planning and booking of team members training; designing an effective team rota in a timely fashion)

    About you
    The successful candidates will be joining a dynamic, motivated and skilled team of NHS staff, who all work collaboratively to support people with emerging mental health issues which require assessment, treatment and brief intervention. You will also be a vital part of the exciting work we are undertaking as we fully implement the Community Mental Health Framework as part of the NHS Long-term plan.

    You will often work under pressure and without direct supervision, so we are looking for someone confident and capable. You will prioritise tasks, and manage your own workload, providing support for your colleagues where required.

    You will become an important part of the team, working to ensure that every patient receives high quality care. You will be required to support the induction of new staff member, demonstrating activities to them and to take managerial and organisational action within the remit of and absence of the band 7 team manager.
    The location
    Your base will be at the Chadwell centre, however under the current COVID-19 conditions this may be subject to alternative arrangements/change for example home working. Please be assured that any alternatives will be discussed fully with you and the organisation. Please ask the appointing manager if you have any questions.
