We are excited that you're interested in a role within the Hampshire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)!

This is a hugely exciting time to join us. We have recently secured a fantastic £6.6m investment to enhance, expand and develop new services. These will include a new psychiatric liaison service, enhanced crisis care in the community and increased capacity within our Eating Disorder service. A new dedicated team consisting of blended digital and face to face interventions and a range of new prevention services will also be developed over the coming months.

This is an exciting new initiative and part of the overall expansion of the Hampshire CAMHS service, and will be rolled out across both Basingstoke and Winchester sites, operating Monday-Sunday from 0800-2200.

To protect the health and safety of our staff/workers, patients, and those attending our sites, we encourage our workforce to get fully vaccinated against COVID.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a number of highly motivated and experienced Band 7 nurses, social workers or occupational therapists to be part of leading our new psychiatric liaison service within the Emergency Department and Paediatric Wards at Hampshire Hospitals.

Do you have:

  • The ability to work within a team and forge good working relationships with multi-disciplinary and multi-agency colleagues?
  • Experience of undertaking effective risk assessment, risk management and collaborative working with young people and families?
  • Experience of working in a mental health setting with leadership, management and supervisory responsibilities?
  • Great communication skills with young people and with colleagues from different sectors?
