Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT) has been awarded the Mental Health Trust of the Year Award at the 40th HSJ Awards and awarded Outstanding CQC Rating. Within HPFT is our Assessment and Treatment Unit at Kingfisher Court, Dove ward is for people with Learning Disabilities and has a staff team who are passionate about excellent patient care.
The unit provides an acute admission for service users where there is a decline in their mental health and/or behaviour that cannot be safely managed within the community, and would require a period of assessment, treatment and discharge planning.
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated Staff Nurse to join our friendly team and provide a key leadership role. The post holder will be required to provide comprehensive, professional, effective leadership, clinical advice and expertise, acting as a positive role model, contributing to the professional development of junior staff and consistently demonstrating the trust values. You will be responsible for supporting the day to day running of an identified clinical area.
We are seeking applications from Nurses who have positive attitudes, who want to make a real difference to the service and have a passion for reducing restrictive practice and whose values and beliefs about working with people with learning disabilities who may be experiencing mental health decline.
In return we can offer regular supervision, relevant training and further career development, reflective practice and opportunities to develop your Leadership skills.
