At The Redwoods Centre weare reviewing the way that we provide high quality inpatient care across our site. As we are currently inthe process of substantially strengthening the ward based leadership in order to drive forward the standards that we want people to receive, a new andexciting post has been created. Our Inpatient wards are all mixed sex, working age adults or older adults and we are looking for motivated nursing leaders to join the Inpatient Leadership Team.

We are seeking someone with the ability and desire to deliver high quality care and who can also get the best from the established team around them. The wards can be fast paced and challenging so teamwork and communication is key. Your leadership abilities, clinical skills, and an appetite for the role, alongside great communication skills will be paramount. There will be support for you to further develop these and build on your own, already existing strengths.

The Redwoods Centre is based in Shrewsbury and is the primary site for Mental Health Inpatient care in the County. With a Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team and a Hospital Avoidance Team based on site and local community services a short distance from the main hospital, there is frequent contact with services and colleagues fromthe wider Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust, along with local, independent providers and colleagues in other statutory agencies.

The expectation is that theInpatient Clinical Lead will work flexibly alongside the Ward Manager and together with support from the Deputy Ward Managers, provide robust leadership across the 24 hr cycle of care. There will be a need to fulfil part of the Hospital Coordinator roster which ensures that there is a member of staff, grade 6-7, available on site 24hrs/7 days a week to support the site.
