Due to maternity leave we are looking for two committed and enthusiastic Locum band 8A Senior Clinical Psychologist to join a friendly and dynamic service for people with learning disabilities in Oxfordshire. Within this role you will have the opportunity to deliver a range of psychological assessments and interventions to service users, carers, and family members across various settings. There are also opportunities for consultation to other professionals and there may be scope for some service development such as running groups or clinics and reviewing clinical pathways. The profession is well regarded and valued within the wider MDTs, with lots of opportunities for joint working.
The psychology service has excellent links with the University of Oxford Clinical Psychology Doctorate course (the county-wide service regularly takes 5-8 trainees) and are well linked to the local SIG, DCP and national Faculty for people with Intellectual Disabilities. We support a range of training opportunities and ongoing professional development through appraisal and regular clinical, professional and management supervision from a Lead Clinical Psychologist.
The posts are 1.0 fixed term for 1 year. The base for 1 post will be within North Oxford LDT and the base for the other post is within Oxford although travel to community locations across the county is an essential part of the role and therefore a full driving license and access to a car is required. Currently staff work between home and team offices.
