Kingsley Ward is a 20 bedded mixed sex inpatient ward for the assessment and treatment of patients who are deemed to have mental health illnesses. Specifically, but not exclusively, depressive, anxiety and psychotic disorders.

It takes a special person to work in this role. You'll be someone who treats others with kindness, compassion and empathy, someone who shows others respect and works as part of a team to provide the best care to our patients, their carers and family.
Our vision is to provide supportive care which is inclusive and individual. You will be expected to work as a named nurse enabling you to develop effective and meaningful therapeutic relationships. Job responsibilities
Suitable applicants will:-
be a registered mental health nurse some experience of working with this patient group is desirable but not essential;
have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
be able to problem solve and be an able negotiator;
have the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team;
be reliable, motivated, and flexible with the desire to work with older adults;
be an effective team player, able to work with a wide range of professionals as well as patients and their families;
be hard-working and able to maintain and contribute to a high standard of care;
be able to work on a 24-hr rota basis, including nights, weekends and Bank Holidays.
This post attracts a Golden Hello payment of £2,750 for successful applicants recruited and not currently employed by the Trust.
