Job Details

Bury North Youth Team is a dedicated MDT, with good staff retention and pride in our work. We cover the 16-25 age range and we are looking for a specialist Nurse with a therapy qualification and experience of working with individuals with emotional difficulties within the needs types of anxiety and depression, emotional dysregulation, trauma and psychosis.

As a CBT Therapist, you will be an integral part of the CAMHS Leadership Group working alongside the Community Team Manager (CTM), Psychology and Psychiatry Lead working towards our vision to not only make a difference, but to also support families to grow and sustain change and to improve and develop quality services.

The candidate would have experience supporting teams through organisational and structural change, understand the key issues which can impact on child and adolescent mental health, be confident in supporting the Community Team Manager, and effectively provide strong leadership to the team to ensure everyone reaches their full potential.

This will include supervisory and case management responsibilities, assessment and the specific delivery of treatment. The CFYP care group is embarking on a transformation, we would like you to help us develop this process with our senior Leadership Team.

This job would suit a CBT therapist who wishes to broaden their horizons and work in a dedicated and positive team with more interesting and complex cases, alongside a MDT'

Main duties of the job

The main duties of this role will include but not exhaustive to:
  • Varied and interesting role
  • Opportunity to develop CBT skills in range of presentations working alongside other therapists, assistants and trainees in a psychologically minded multi-disciplinary team.
  • You will be supported by and working alongside an experienced Principal Clinical Psychologist and Family Therapist as part of the therapies team.
  • It is a valued role embedded in a well-established and psychologically minded MDT.
  • Young adult MH as exciting area of work, able to bring developmental and systemic perspective and work with people at a time of change and flux, helping prevent difficulties becoming more entrenched.
  • Opportunity to develop specialism and expertise in different therapy focus such EMDR, OCD or trauma work.
  • We value learning and innovation as a service, with a recent sleep project that we developed having now been extended across the Trust.
