Exciting new roles have been created as part of a key worker early adopter site designed in partnership with NHS England. This early adopter site will deliver a new way of supporting CYP with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or a Learning Disability (LD) and their family/carers. The key worker roles will enable CYP and their family/carers to get the right support at the right time and ensure local systems are responsive to meeting their needs in a holistic and joined up way.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new team, which will deliver high quality, comprehensive mental health service for children, young people and families with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). Working as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team and in an integrated way with wider teams across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, to meet the needs of our CYP and families. The keyworker will manage a caseload with focus on providing therapeutic intervention that is strengths-focused, evidence-based and tailored to meet the needs of the child/young person and their family/carer. To actively assess the need and delivery of safe and effective interventions for CYP and families in communities, working to avoid hospital admissions and manage complex risk.
Are you a professional who would like to be a part of the Key Worker early adopter? Do you hold a relevant professional qualification, e.g., Social Worker, Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Speech & Language Therapist, Psychological Therapist and Youth Worker; have experience of providing therapeutic intervention that is strengths-focused, evidence-based and tailored to meet the needs of the child/young person and their family/carer?
The early adopter site is part of the NHS Long Term Plan which aspires for all CYP with LD, ASC or both, who are identified on the Dynamic Support Register, to have a named keyworker by 2024. Staffordshire is one of 14 National key working early adopter sites implementing this strategic role.
We welcome applications from everyone irrespective of ethnic origin, disability, age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, marital status, social background or trade union membership. However, as members of ethnicity minority groups and individuals with disabilities are currently under-represented, we would encourage applications from members of these group.
