Staff Nurse - Band 5 - Ward 4, Harplands Hospital

There is an exciting opportunity to work as a Staff Nurse within Ward 4, Harplands Hospital. We are looking for kind, dedicated band 5 registered nurses. Due to our commitment to parity of esteem where we value physical and mental health equally, we would welcome RMN's, RGN's and RNLD to support our friendly multidisciplinary team. We are a 15 bedded assessment ward for patients over the age of 65, who generally have dementia or some form of cognitive decline. We believe in putting the patients at the centre of what we do and we tailor our multidisciplinary team around the patient's individual needs. Main duties of the job
To act as a named nurse / care co-ordinator, to be responsible for the assessment of needs and the planning, delivery and evaluation of care for these Patients and to deliver specific interventions according to assessed need. To oversee the nursing care process and to provide direction and supervision to junior staff in meeting patient needs. To provide supervision and leadership in respect of maintaining and developing standards of practice and implementing change.

- To act as Nurse in Charge of the clinical area on a regular basis.
- To act as a Change Agent and actively seek to develop practice.

- Valid nursing (RMN/RGN/RNLD) registered qualification
- Demonstrate the ability to carry out all care needs without direct supervision
